Lausanne Tourisme

Lausanne Tourisme is an economic association recognised by the City of Lausanne, whose aim is to encourage the development and promote tourism in Lausanne, both in Switzerland and abroad. It draws up a tourism strategy as part of an urban marketing policy aimed at promoting the economic, cultural and social influence of Lausanne while respecting sustainable development.

By 2027, we reach Level 2 “Engaged” of the Swisstainable Destination programme by achieving 70 certified local partners, compared to 49 in 2024.*
* Additionally, by 2030, we aim to achieve Level 3 “Leading” by obtaining a recognized sustainability certification and increasing the proportion of local businesses holding the Swisstainable label. By 2030, we contribute to increase the hotel occupancy rate to 56% during the low season (November to February), compared to 50% in 2023-2024.*
* Additionally, we aim to increase the average length of stay to 2.1 nights, compared to 1.9 nights in 2024. This approach supports a more balanced distribution of tourist flows throughout the year, generating a positive impact by reducing job seasonality in the sector.

Collective action
By 2030, we contribute to the development of sustainable mobility by reaching a distribution rate of 75% for the Lausanne Transport Card, compared to 70% in 2023.*
* This corresponds to 500,000 cards distributed by 2030, compared to 457,654 in 2024. Additionally, by 2026, we digitize the card to enable analysis of the customer journey during their stay in Lausanne.

Scope of pledges

Lausanne Tourisme operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all operations of Lausanne Tourisme carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
