Core Business

By 2025, we generate 85 % of our revenue from sustainability communication mandates, compared with 74% in 2022.*

* We define sustainability communication as any communication focussing on sustainable development. Mandates include sustainability reports, climate campaigns, websites on sustainability, social media posts with news on a best practices or the organisation of an event on a sustainability topic, among other things.

Core Business

By 2025, we generate 60 % of sales from high-impact mandates.*

* By high impact, we mean communication measures that encourage our customers’ target groups to act in favour of the SDGs: e.g. a climate campaign with behavioural recommendations, a website and newsletter with practical information on energy-efficient refurbishment for building owners, etc. Traditional sustainability reports are not counted.

Core business

By 2025, 100 % of our mandates integrate gender-appropriate language in accordance with internal guidelines.*

Internal Operations

By 2030, we reduce our tCO2eq emissions by 50 % (Scope 1 & 2) compared with 2023, and by 2025, we commit to the SME Climate Commitment.*

* By 2050, we achieve net zero (including Scope 3).

Scope of pledges

Polarstern SA operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all Polarstern SA operations carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
