Laiteries Réunies Genève Société Coopérative
Founded in 1911, the LRG Group is one of the 11 dairy federations in Switzerland and brings together more than 80 local dairy and agricultural cooperatives. The Federation adds value to the region’s milk by overseeing its collection, processing, and the marketing of finished products through its subsidiary companies.
By 2030, we reduce waste and food loss by 30% compared to 2023 in our production processes, including production waste, surplus production, and customer returns.*
* This waste corresponds to 215,001 kg of incinerable waste and 176,520 kg of biowaste at the Plan-les-Ouates site in 2023.
By 2026, we measure our greenhouse gas emissions across all three scopes and align our reduction trajectory with the requirements of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).*
* In addition, we will work on a decarbonization roadmap and share our updated targets by the same deadline.
By 2030, 100% of our employees’ job descriptions will include sustainability or responsible practice objectives, compared to 0% in 2023.*
* This applies to 100% of the leadership and management, as well as employees in roles with high environmental impact. Employees in roles with low environmental impact will participate in a half-day social action in a local association, compared to 0% in 2023.
The social actions and partner associations will be selected collectively with the employees.
By 2030, 100% of our employees will attend at least one professional training per year to ensure their employability, compared to 34% in 2023.*
* Each training must last a minimum of one day per year and per employee.
