Goal 1

Core Business
By 2029, we reduce our tCO2eq emissions in line with our validated Science Based Targets (SBTi) (https://sciencebasedtargets.org/companies-taking-action) reduction target by 42% (Scope 1 & 2), and by 30,3 % in Scope 3 for FLAG emissions and by 25 % in Scope 3 for non-FLAG emissions compared with 2019.*
* FLAG emissions originate from ‘Forest, Land and Agriculture’ according to the Science Based Targets Initiative.

Goal 2

Internal Operations
By 2030, we reduce our avoidable food waste by 50 %, to approximately 24 grams per main meal compared with approximately 47 grams per main meal in 2023.*

By 2027, each of our community catering establishments offers at least one balanced main meal per day in line with the FOOD2050 assessment based on the optimal plate of the Swiss Society for Nutrition.*

Internal Operations
By 2027, 80 % of our employees undergo an annual development dialogue tailored to their level, compared with 22 % in 2023.*
* Through the development dialogue, we support employees not only in their development within their current position, but also with regard to their entire career path.

Supply Chain
By 2027, we increase the proportion of food from ecological, social or ethical production in our purchasing to at least 33 % (measured by the value of goods purchased) compared with 15 % in 2024.*
* We take into account the following production requirements that offer ecological, social or ethical added value: Bud Bio Suisse, IP-Suisse, EU Organic, BTS, RAUS, MSC, ASC, Fairtrade Max Havelaar, Rainforest Alliance.

The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all operations of ZFV-Unternehmungen cooperative (ZFV) carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
