Goal 1

Core Business
By 2028, we permanently eliminate the use of fossil fuels for building heating and company vehicles. In addition, we use 100% renewable energy across all company operations and reduce energy consumption by 15% per employee compared to 2024. In parallel, by 2029, we commit to carrying out a carbon footprint assessment to measure the impact of our CO₂eq emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and subsequently define reduction measures.*
* Absolute electricity consumption in 2024: 762,448 kWh (13,324.85 kWh per employee). Absolute gas consumption in 2024: 22,800 kWh. Total: 785,248 kWh

Internal Operations
By 2028, to expand our activities in the watchmaking component sector, we construct a building certified according to the Minergie A ECO standard, with embodied energy consumption 5% to 25% lower than a standard building (SuisseEnergie).*
* Buildings constructed according to the Minergie A ECO standard generate, on average, embodied energy consumption 5% to 25% lower than standard construction. In addition, to go beyond the Minergie standard, we commit to sourcing local wood from within a maximum radius of 30 km around the company.

Internal operations
By 2028, we obtain the “Great Place to Work” certification, based on existing and upcoming strategies to improve employee well-being. Thereafter, we will increase the employee satisfaction index by at least 2 percentage points per year compared to the year of certification.*
* We will rely on internal satisfaction surveys (past and future) as well as Gallup surveys starting in 2025. The long-term objective is to reach a satisfaction rate of at least 80%.

Scope of pledges

Arcofil AG operates in Switzerland. The commitments made under the STI programme apply to the sustainability policy for all activities in Switzerland. Arcofil AG is therefore responsible for implementing them within the scope of its activities.
