Cluster Food & Nutrition is an association active in the agri-food sector. As a regional and national platform for networking and facilitation, Cluster Food & Nutrition aims to strengthen collaboration among the various actors of the agri-food ecosystem and support them in their innovation and sustainability efforts.

Core Business
By the end of 2026, all events organised by Cluster Food & Nutrition achieve a minimum score of 8/10 based on the sustainability assessment conducted with our internal evaluation tool.*
* Currently, no events are evaluated according to sustainability criteria.
We organise around twenty events each year.
The evaluated criteria include mobility, catering, resource use, and the use of responsible local suppliers.
The internal evaluation tool is available upon request.

Internal Operations
By the end of 2027, we support 10 innovation projects integrating a sustainability component aligned with the 2030 Agenda*, compared to 6 in 2024.*
* We support between 10 and 20 projects per year.
We will prioritise SDG 12.
Project holders may be academics, associations, or companies active in the agri-food sector.
Different funding mechanisms may be used (NPR, Innosuisse, Fribourg Agri&Food).

Internal operations
By 2026, we promote sustainability among our members by organising at least 2 events per year on this topic, compared to 0 in 2024.*
* Events may take various formats: conferences, webinars, training sessions, round tables, etc.
Events may be organised in partnership with organisations such as STI, Swiss Food Research, Star’Terre, Beelong, etc.
Scope of pledges
Cluster Food & Nutrition operates in Switzerland. The commitments made under the STI programme apply to the sustainability policy for all activities in Switzerland. Cluster Food & Nutrition is therefore responsible for implementing them within the scope of its activities.
