Founded in 2004, Positive Coating develops innovative surface treatment solutions based on PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) and ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) technologies, mainly for the watchmaking sector. It also offers its services to the leather goods, writing instruments, jewellery and medical technology sectors.
By 2028, we extend the lifespan of all our PVD and ALD equipment by an average of 15 years, performing level 3 maintenance on 100 % of equipment compared with level 2 maintenance in 2023.*
* Up to level 5 maintenance on certain equipment over 20 years old. According to standard NF-X 60-010. The acquisition of machines will account for 35% of our tCO2eq emissions in 2022. PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition, a method of depositing thin films under vacuum, and ALD stands for Atomic Layer Deposition, a process for depositing atomic thin films.
