Goal 1

Core Business
By 2030, at least 15 companies and 5 municipalities implement specific circular economy measures for ICT hardware as part of our circular economy project https://www.flughafenregion.ch/projekte/kreislaufwirtschaft-im-nachhaltigkeits-navigator-fur-die-flughafenregion-zurich as part of our Sustainability Navigator https://www.flughafenregion.ch/nachhaltigkeitsnavigator, resulting in demonstrable reductions in resource consumption and waste generation, compared with 2 member companies and 2 municipalities in 2025.*
* Companies that successfully participate in the project receive a recognised certificate for the FRZ to ensure long-term commitment and impact.

Goal 2

Core Business
By 2028, 30 mentors participate in our internal mentoring programme supporting younger entrepreneurs as experienced managers to promote young talents, and we ensure that our programme of around 50 events per year includes an equal representation of male and female speakers.*
* FRZ members sign up as mentors and then support younger entrepreneurs as experienced managers (promotion of young talent). The mentoring programme can be found here https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/6572e05c1076a09918d72088/67d2ed0cc9f37dafeef82db6_Anleitung%20FRZ%20Networking%20Plattform%202025.pdf

Goal 3

Core business
By 2028, we hold two Sustainability Circles https://www.flughafenregion.ch/netzwerk/veranstaltungen yearly to share specific sustainability best practices from regional companies and municipalities with our member network, and raise awareness of sustainable practices among at least 100 companies and 10 municipalities.*
* This is also achieved through our Sustainability Navigator, used to highlight sustainable projects in our Zurich airport region. The Sustainability Circles are curated by our Sustainability Advisory Board. The Board also curates the FRZ Excellence Award, which is presented once a year at the FRZ Economic Forum to sustainable companies and organisations. Raising awareness in a targeted manner means that participants receive concrete impetus to initiate or further develop sustainability measures in their own organisations.

Goal 4

Internal Operations
By 2028, we select 60 % of our event partners and venues based on sustainability criteria.*
* In line with our guidelines for sustainable events. These guidelines will be drawn up by the end of 2025/Q1 2026. By 2026, we reduce food waste at our events and establish a functioning partnership with the Swiss Table Foundation.
