Goal 1

Core Business

By 2030, we reduce our tCO2eq emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by at least 80 % compared with 2023, in line with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi).*

* We achieve this by converting our vehicle fleet to fossil-free drive systems and procuring electricity and heating/cooling from largely renewable sources. Feasibility review of joining the SBTi by the end of 2026, see also 2nd environmental target.

Goal 2

Core Business

By 2030, we reduce our tCO2eq emissions in Scope 3 by 20 % compared with 2023, in line with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi).*

* We achieve this by switching to lower tCO2eq, recyclable and fossil-free products. Priority 1: Non-medical products with high tCO2eq emissions, high turnover, relatively easy substitution potential: e.g. towels, napkins, toilet paper, incontinence and care products Priority 2: Products with high tCO2eq emissions, high turnover, medium substitution potential (medical and non-medical products) Priority 3: Predominantly medical products, longer planning horizon, more difficult to convert.

Goal 3

Supply Chain

By 2030, suppliers of 75 % of our purchasing volume are assessed according to ESG criteria based on the Global Reporting Initiative and have a ‘good’ to ‘very good’ ESG rating.*

* As a logistics company, we commit to ensuring that all suppliers meet the highest sustainability standards by 2035 in order to make our supply chain more climate-friendly and socially responsible. This includes continuous assessment and close collaboration with our key suppliers to promote sustainability and ethical business practices.

Goal 4

Collective action

By 2026 and yearly after that, all employees receive annual training on sustainability topics and each team develops collective sustainability initiatives.*

* The aim is for every employee to understand and experience the ESG relevance of their working environment and to act more consciously accordingly.

Goal 5

Internal Operations

By 2025 and annually after that, we guarantee two apprenticeship places yearly for young people with special needs, and create a reliable bridge between the young people and the training companies to ensure lasting career prospects.*

Cosanum AG operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all Cosanum AG operations carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
